Partners in Grains achievements

2007-2010

 

  •   Over 10 000 hours of training has been facilitated each year

 

  •   Training has been diverse meeting the individual needs of the Growers in each state.

 

  •   A focus on practice change through on farm workshops, on-going groups and mentoring is ensuring the skills learnt in workshops are being implemented within the faming business.

 

  •   Three states have successfully inducted new coordinators

 

  •   The communication plan has been implemented with the development of a PinG website, “in the loop” newsletters being distributed throughout every state, Coordinators having monthly teleconferences to share ideas and PinG email groups being established.

 

  •   A farm office workshop has been developed and delivered nationally providing PinG with its first “Branded” workshop.

 

  •   PinG has embraced new technology and hired an interactive web room which has been used to deliver workshops, run meetings, share information and develop funding applications over distance. PinG have encouraged and assisted other groups to trial this technology.

 

  •   Improved links with Farming System Groups and State Alliances as increased the reach of the PinG network.

 

2004-07

 

  • Over 10,000 hours of training has been facilitated nationally each year of the project.

 

  • Partnerships have continued to develop on a national and state basis.

 

  • A significant national sponsorship has existed with AWB Ltd over the three years.

 

  • An increase in women’s representation in industry leadership positions.

 

Assisted in the development of communication technology using VOIP, skype conferencing and webinars to assist farming families access interactive information from remote locations.

 

A diverse range of workshops has been facilitated which has included

o       Beer Appreciation Dinners in NSW where the whole supply chain is represented and discussed

o       Risk Awareness Workshops

o       Company Directors Essentials

o       Chemical application

o       Workplace communication (delivered on-line)

 

 

2001-04

 

  • In 2002/03 over 100 activities were delivered

·         Events attracted over 2300 participants.

  • Workshops and activities have been comprehensive and diverse
  • Effective partnerships and networks with industry and training organisations developed
  • Women attending the BRI Research Horizons course rose from 3% in 2001 to 31% in 2002.
